Chris brings more than 20 years of entrepreneurial career experience in commercial real estate spanning across investments sales acquisitions/depositions, equity and debt fund management, and structured financing in excess of $2 Billion.
He has built strategic relationships and platforms spanning the entire capitalization spectrum with numerous private equity firms, family offices, wholesale loan buyers (CMBS, CLO, various securitization pools) and agency lenders. As an alumnus of Georgia State University, Chris first began as a client of Marcus & Millichap in 2000, who sold his multifamily properties that he acquired while attending college in Atlanta, then joining the firm as a broker and quickly becoming one of the top selling multifamily brokers in the Southeast. From there Chris went on to expand his commercial real estate experience and was a founding member of Southeast Apartment Partners (later rebranded as Multi Housing Advisors and sold to Cushman Wakefield NYSE: CWK).
He is a principal in multiple, private equity funds, ground-up 3rd party commercial property management companies supporting in excess of 10,000 multifamily units, 1M SF of office and light industrial space. During the financial crisis of 2007-2009, Chris engaged with local/regional banks, FDIC, and law firms managing complex commercial loan workouts, portfolio management and recovery enforcement in excess of $400M.
