Joel Murovitz is a Director at GlassRatner and has been with the firm since 2009. His practice focuses on court appointed receiverships involving real estate, loans, and operating businesses, as well as asset and property management, construction oversight, and expert witness services.

Ms. Murovitz has extensive experience serving as a court appointed receiver in matters involving short term rental businesses, cannabinol production operations, real estate development and brokerage entities, automotive service facilities, hospitality properties, and database and intellectual property related assets. His work has included receiverships across state and federal courts in Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Colorado.

In addition to receivership appointments, Mr. Murovitz provides expert analyses and testimony related to construction and real estate management matters. His responsibilities have included operational and financial audits of commercial real estate assets, construction and project scheduling, planning and management, project budgeting, cash management, accounting and reporting, property valuations and dispositions, and casualty recovery and dispute resolution.

Mr. Murovitz’s experience also includes assisting with living and real estate receiverships involving profit sharing plans and trusts, hospitality and mixed use developments, agricultural assets, and lender driven receiverships related to loans and owned real estate.
