Jin Wang is a Managing Director at GlassRatner with more than 20 years of experience in financial valuation consulting, litigation support, and M&A advisory services. She provides consulting services for corporate planning, M&A, financial reporting, tax, and dispute resolution purposes, serving clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to privately held entities across diversified industries.
Ms. Wang has performed a wide range of analyses, including business and stock valuations, merger and acquisition valuations, restructuring and reorganization analyses, intellectual property valuations, purchase price allocation analyses, goodwill and long-lived asset impairment, stock compensation valuation, tax valuations, compensation reasonableness analyses, fairness opinions, solvency opinions, lost profit and economic damage analyses, healthcare valuation, and appraisal reviews.
Her representative assignments include conducting company valuation and consulting services related to critical corporate transactions such as M&A, spin-offs, bankruptcy, S-corporation formation, and going-private and S-corporate conversions, including fairness opinion and solvency opinion engagements. She has also performed lost profit, economic damage, and lost business value analyses on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Ms. Wang has conducted intellectual property and intangible asset valuations for transaction, litigation, financial reporting, and tax purposes, including estimating damages related to infringement of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property. In addition, she has performed valuations of closely held corporations, general and limited partnership interests, fractional business interests, various classes of common and preferred stock, warrants, stock options, and rights, including analysis of discounts for lack of marketability and lack of control, and valuation of public company restricted stock and pre-IPO stock using Black-Scholes and Monte Carlo simulation models.
Ms. Wang began her career with Deloitte and later worked with American Appraisal Associates. Her background has provided her with broad exposure to complex corporate valuation matters.
Ms. Wang is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Georgia and holds the ABV (Accredited in Business Valuations) credential granted by the AICPA. She earned her undergraduate degree from Renmin University of China and a Master of Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
