J. Michael Issa Named Fellow in Class 37 of the American College of Bankruptcy

GlassRatner Advisory & Capital Group announces that J. Michael Issa, Senior Managing Director and restructuring specialist, has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy (ACB) in its Class 37. The induction ceremony will take place March 19-21 in San Antonio, Texas

The American College of Bankruptcy is a national honorary association comprised of leading professionals in bankruptcy and insolvency. Selection as a Fellow reflects a sustained record of professional excellence, leadership, service to the profession, and contributions to the development of bankruptcy practice and scholarship.

Mr. Issa brings more than 30 years of experience advising complex bankruptcies, restructurings, and turnarounds. He has led or overseen hundreds of corporate rehabilitations, served in court-appointed fiduciary roles including Chapter 11 trustee and Chief Restructuring Officer, and regularly provided expert testimony and counsel in financial and litigation matters. His work has spanned major industries and significant restructuring engagements.

Mr. Issa is a well-published writer and former Pulitzer nominee. His article, “OPECalypse Now and the World Economy” was submitted by the American Bankruptcy Institute for the consideration of the Pulitzer Board in the category of Explanatory Journalism.

The Class 37 induction and conference will include professional sessions and the presentation of the Distinguished Service Award, offering peers across the field an opportunity to engage with current issues in insolvency law and practice.
