Tom McCabe is a Senior Managing Director at GlassRatner and has over 30 years of experience in automotive, finance, banking, restructuring/turnaround management and private equity with large, middle-market, public and privately held organizations.
McCabe works closely with clients regarding lender negotiations, debt restructuring, capital raising and re-financings, budgets and strategic planning. Industry experience includes work in the automotive industry, wholesale/distribution, industrial/manufacturing, aviation, technology, healthcare, retail, banking/refinancing and real estate sectors.
Tom has advised on corporate acquisitions and sales of entities with values ranging from $10 million to $1 billion in conjunction with private placements and §363 auctions. He has negotiated cash-flow-based and asset-based lines of credit, managed complex debt recapitalization, and secured debtor-in-possession facilities in addition to real estate, equipment and other working capital financing.
Tom has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, and a Master of Business Administration degree (finance and business strategy) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Tom is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association and American Bankruptcy Institute and lives in Lake Bluff, Illinois. He is a certified public accountant, co-chairs the education committee at the SFNet, and has been a member of the board of directors at Wernle Youth & Family Treatment Center in Richmond, Indiana.
