Tapan Patni is a Managing Director at GlassRatner and has over 25 years of experience as an engineer, project director and consultant in the petrochemical, midstream, and power and energy industries, including 20 years with a leading full- service engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company.

His expertise includes project management, feasibility assessment, project design, cost estimating, scheduling, and constructability analysis, and he has led and successfully delivered lump-sum EPC projects with contracts up to $1.5B in value. He has provided guidance to owners with commercial and technical assessments of currently available technologies, project sites, balance of plant works, infrastructure needs, equipment providers, contractual structures, and AFE-quality estimates through his career.

Mr. Patni applies his deep technical knowledge and proven track record in project execution—from concept through startup—to provide expert analysis and testimony in construction claims and disputes. He possesses extensive experience in complex EPC execution matters and multi-disciplinary technical issues arising throughout the project lifecycle. His expertise proves particularly valuable in identifying deficiencies in the development and execution of technically complex or accelerated projects, and in cases where scope changes have exceeded reasonable thresholds.
