Scott Shoenberger is a Senior Managing Director in GlassRatner’s Real Estate Services Practice. Scott is a 40-year veteran of the hospitality sector and is one of the more highly regarded hotel turnaround experts. Scott’s areas of expertise include hotel operations, hotel acquisitions, resort development, the gaming sector, full-service restaurants, and condominium development.
From 2014 to 2024, Scott was President and CEO of The Al J. Schneider Company. Scott strategically repositioned the company’s hotel assets, executed a $100 million renovation and PIP on the 1,239-room Galt House Hotel, and recapitalized many of the company’s real estate projects reducing the company’s exposure to the current market environment.
From 2005 to 2014, Scott held various senior roles at Marcus Hotels & Resorts, an owner and manager of twenty hotel assets generating more than $400 million in annual revenue. During Scott’s tenure, he oversaw ground-up development of a 255-unit condominium hotel, oversaw the redevelopment of the historic Skirvin Hilton in Oklahoma City, and coordinated and managed property acquisitions for eleven assets. Scott also held positions at The Irvine Company, Noble House Hotels & Resorts, and Olympus Hospitality Group.
