Ross Hickman, CPA/CFF, CFE, is a Director in GlassRatner’s Forensic Accounting, Litigation Support, and Expert Witness practice.
Mr. Hickman is an experienced consultant and expert witness, applying his expertise to a wide range of matters involving forensic accounting, economic damage analysis, intellectual property, class actions, funds tracing, post-acquisition disputes, and business valuation.
Mr. Hickman has testified as an expert witness in various Federal Court, State Court, and Arbitration venues.

- Testified in deposition and trial regarding damages suffered by an executive search firm from a former employee’s violation of their restrictive covenants. The jury awarded damages consistent with Mr. Hickman’s damage opinions presented at trial.
- Testified in deposition and trial regarding the diminution in business value and other damages suffered by a private neurosurgery practice after a portion of company principals engaged in a scheme to improperly establish a competing practice. The jury awarded damages consistent with Mr. Hickman’s damage opinions presented at trial.
- Testified via arbitration hearing regarding alleged unpaid commissions claimed by a data center broker. Mr. Hickman rebutted the damage opinions set forth by the Claimant’s damage expert, resulting in the Claimant’s damage expert withdrawing his opinions prior to the arbitration hearing. Ultimately, zero damages were awarded to the Claimant.
- Testified in deposition regarding a trade secret damage claim in the global technology protection and support industry. Mr. Hickman rebutted the damage opinions set forth by the Plaintiff’s expert, and the matter ultimately concluded prior to trial with zero damages being awarded to the Plaintiff.
- Testified in deposition regarding damages suffered by a heavy equipment manufacturer because of an alleged breach of contract by one of its dealers. Mr. Hickman also rebutted counterclaim damages set forth by the dealer’s damage expert.
- Co-Damages expert for an employee feedback software company related to the Defendant’s theft of trade secrets and confidential information. The jury awarded damages consistent with Mr. Hickman’s damage opinions.
