Niall Ledwidge is a Senior Managing Director in GlassRatner’s New York office with over two decades of experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, and contested insolvency matters across the United States, Europe, Asia, and the offshore financial centers. He specializes in investment fund wind-downs and cross-border insolvency, and provides expert testimony, expert reports, and valuation analyses in contested bankruptcy and commercial disputes.

Niall is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland (FCA), a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA), and an INSOL Fellow.  He serves on the INSOL Technical Research Committee and the INSOL North America Advisory Council. He has acted in fiduciary capacities including Joint Official Liquidator, foreign liquidator, receiver, and has advised boards, CROs, debtors, creditors, and trustees on restructuring and recovery alternatives.

His recent engagements include serving as Joint Official Liquidator of Silicon Valley Bank, in which capacity he provided testimony, subject to cross-examination, before the Hon. Martin Glenn in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York; and as expert advisor to a significant creditor of FTX Trading Ltd. Niall also advised the Chief Restructuring Officer and counsel on the wind-down of Archegos Capital Management and the Archegos Fund, and served as foreign liquidator of Aramid Entertainment B.V., the European arm of the Aramid Entertainment Fund.

Prior to GlassRatner, Niall was a Managing Director in the Corporate Recovery practice at Stout Risius Ross, advising debtors and creditors and providing valuation and expert-report services in contested bankruptcy and commercial disputes. He spent more than a decade with Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps), most recently as a director in its global restructuring practice in New York and previously as a Senior Manager in its Dublin office. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon (now RSM) in Dublin and began his career in fund services with PFPC International and as a Portfolio Analyst with JPMorgan in Sydney, Australia.

Niall has authored four publications for INSOL International, including the April 2025 technical paper “Avoidance Actions and Choice of Law in Multinational Insolvency Proceedings,” and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences including the ABI Caribbean Symposium, the AIRA Annual Conference, OffshoreAlert Miami, and Asset Recovery Americas. He was recognized in Irish America Magazine’s Wall Street 50 in 2024 and shortlisted for Insolvency Practitioner / CRO of the Year at the GRR Awards 2024. He holds a B.S. in Management from Trinity College Dublin (2001) and serves on the Governing Board of the Barretstown Foundation USA.

  • Joint Official Liquidator of Silicon Valley Bank, appointed by the Cayman Commercial Court in June 2023; engaged U.S. and Cayman counsel, progressed litigation claims on behalf of Cayman depositors, and provided testimony before the Hon. Martin Glenn in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
  • Financial advisor on the wind down of Archegos Capital Management and the Archegos Fund; advised the CRO and counsel on winding down operations and negotiating an out-of-court resolution with a creditor group of leading prime brokers.
  • Valuation and expert advisory services to a significant creditor of FTX Trading Ltd; assisted in preparing expert reports and supporting testimony.
  • Provided valuation advisory services to Celsius Network, LLC regarding its digital asset holdings, complex securities backed by digital assets, and its digital asset mining business as part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Coordinated multiple valuation teams and assisted in preparing testimony for the confirmation hearing.
  • Foreign liquidator of Aramid Entertainment B.V., the European arm of the Aramid Entertainment Fund. Monetized a portfolio of motion picture assets through worldwide license agreements and restructured the European entity for dissolution under Dutch law.
  • Forensic accounting and reporting to the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico in support of government debt restructuring negotiations;
