Michael T. Gunter, PE, EVP, is a Managing Director at GlassRatner and a senior associate consultant with more than 35 years of heavy industrial experience. His background spans mechanical engineering, project management, project development, turnaround leadership, maintenance and engineering program management, and executive-level oversight.
Mr Gunter has extensive expertise across all phases of project development in the petroleum refining and midstream sectors, including contracting, strategic planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Michael has led major expansions and capital programs and has directed EPC execution for large scale refining and midstream operations.
His experience includes overseeing refinery routine and turnaround maintenance programs, managing engineering departments, and performing mechanical engineering in both the power generation and petroleum refining industries. As a consultant, he has contributed expert analysis to matters involving petroleum refineries, LNG facilities, and petrochemical plants, focusing on standard of care, technical issues, project costs, and schedule delay evaluations.
