Irene Byela is an Associate Director at GlassRatner. She has diverse experience in litigation support, restructuring services, and due diligence assignments. Her work includes the quantification of damages, fraud investigations, calculation of complex waterfall distributions in real estate development disputes, financial modeling and analysis in corporate acquisition disputes, cash flow modeling in bankruptcy assignments, and compliance analysis for corporate clients in regulated industries.

Prior to joining GlassRatner, Ms. Byela was a lead analyst at a telecommunication and information consulting firm, where she refined her analytic and research skills across multiple specialty areas, including tax compliance, tax accounting, audit defense, process improvement, tax mapping, and billing.

Ms. Byela has a strong educational background that supports her work in forensic accounting and financial analysis. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance, a Master of Professional Accounting, and an MBA with a concentration in Business Intelligence and Cyber Security. She is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian. In 2023, Ms. Byela authored an article for the Georgia Society of CPAs titled “What is Forensic Accounting?”
