Adam Hurst is an Associate at GlassRatner with almost 20 years of experience in real property valuation and consulting. His appraisal experience includes multi tenant retail, office buildings, industrial properties, special purpose properties, multi family and self storage facilities, residential subdivisions, conservation easements, mitigation banks, and agricultural property including recreational, pasture, crop, and timberland. He has performed right of way appraisal work for public and private utilities and for state and local transportation clients.
Mr. Hurst has been involved in the valuation of more than one million acres of forest and recreational land. He has developed a network of brokers for collecting comparable sales data for agricultural property, followed by data services. He has performed and assisted in valuation opinions used in mortgage lending, right of way acquisition, bankruptcy court matters, buy and sell decisions, purchase price allocation, loan monitoring, forced disposition, and portfolio performance monitoring.
Mr. Hurst began his appraisal career with Piedmont Appraisers as a Trainee Real Property Appraiser and later became a Licensed Real Property Appraiser. During his tenure, he assisted in appraisal assignments for financing, estate purposes, internal decisions, acquisitions, and buy and sell decisions. He later joined the Eidson Company, where he expanded his experience across commercial valuations, conservation easements, mitigation banks, right of way valuation for the Alabama Department of Transportation, municipal utilities, pipeline valuation, property damage assessments, bankruptcy and foreclosure proceedings, subdivision developments, mixed use developments, retail, office, special purpose properties, and agricultural land.
Mr. Hurst maintains a Licensed Real Property Appraisal License in Alabama and can obtain temporary licensing permits in other states on a case by case basis.
